Authentic Italian Extra-Virgin Olive Oil
The names of our olive oils are linked to the ancient Apulian (Puglia) legend “delle Mignole”. The protagonists of the legendary story were two magicians named Masitto and Chianca who competed over who would generate the most beautiful flower. Supreme judge of the dispute is the Sun of Gargano. The two magicians created many flowers but none, according to the judge, could be considered better than the other. Masitto and Chianca, exhausted and disappointed, leaned on the branch of a large olive tree and burst into tears. From their tears that fell on the plant a small flower was generated. The Sun, at that point, amazed and pleased, said that that flower, renamed Mignola, was the most beautiful because it was generated by the union of the power of both magicians. Masitto and Chianca were amazed and happy and understood that only by working together can the best things be achieved.
